I have the Mirena IUD but I'm thinking of switching to the NuvaRing. Anyone have stories / advice?

I don't like the pill - for one thing, I got pregnant on the pill...and I always forget to take it at the right time and then I freak out.

Wasn't there a recall with the patch? I don't remember.

How soon after stopping the NuvaRing can you get pregnant?

Can you or your partner feel it inside?

I think my sis is on it. I know nothing about it.

I used the NuvaRing for a while, but did not like it. It would not stay up inside me. I was constantly putting it back up where it belongs.

I have been using it for almost two years. Sometimes my husband feels it but it doesn't bother him. For the first few months i could feel the difference from t being in me or out. I used to take it out to have sex.And yes that is safe. Now i don't have to because i don't feel it. It is great! i don't like the pill. Iud's won't stay in, yes the patch got recalled.
After taking the nuvaring out and trying to get pregnant you should be fine within a week or few weeks. Nuvaring has a website. You can also order a free timer that tells you when to take it out and to put it back in. It really is nice. In for 21 days out for 7.So for me I made it so i always take it out on a sunday and put it in on a sunday at the same time.you forget about it and your period is only a few days and isn't gruesome. I don't know why all women don't use it. the first few days you have to adjust. if you feel like you are having a problem with it after a couple of weeks with nausea or something. quit taking it. nothing to lose, so why not try it? right? But it is like a pill, it won't work correctly if you are taking an antibiotic. hope this info helped
