that's a great site, so is the sephora site, when you check on the product info pages! plus, allure magazine is basically a make-up mag, with lots of tips, latest stuff, loads of fun too, getting in on give aways, etc.

best thing about beauty, buy a wonderful exfoliating face brush or cloth, nice and gentle, and one for the body, and start clearing the skin of old skin cells. you will be so renewed, and happy you did this for your skin and visa-versa, so have some nice products that all of you deserve on hand, to feed the underlying, now exposed new skin, the one we want showing our true inner glow, a slight illuminating glow.

Plus this is the best way to keep clear skin! Or clear it even. By ridding the old skin cells.

Magazine websites are fun too. InStyle, etc. If you really wanna look around, peek at the trade magazines for skin care... IK can't say what they are, but you can find them.

Best of luck.

Remember to exfoliate. Step #1

Has anyone tried any of these new "smart" make-ups that "adjust" to your skin tone or type? I don't believe it.

I'd like to get back into wearing makeup. I bought a bunch of makeup over the past few months, but still haven't used it! Eyeshadow, lipstick, nail polish, blush, lip liner, eyeliner, and all that good stuff. I just don't go out much. One of my favorite brands, even though it is more youth-oriented, is http://www.hardcandy.com/. There's also tips on their website.

Make sure you search for makeup how-to's and tips on YouTube. There's so much good stuff there!

Hi Maven,
I have not wanted to wear any make up for quite some time, due to severe depression and a skin condition. I put a full lot on yesterday and I adored it, made me feel so much better. The smart make-up sounds great.
Maybe try wearing at home if you want to, I just did to go out shopping etc.
Take care
Kate

MakeupAlley is a great website with reviews and discussion boards for makeup mavens, as well as skincare and other things. Check it out - I love it!
I go through phases. I have a TON of makeup - mostly eye shadows from Meow Cosmetics. They have wonderful colors and formulas and they sell samples for cheap. I probably have a hundred shades...SO much fun to play when I'm in the mood!
