This is the new BC pill I'll be taking, just got it today. I have a huge issue with "the pill" tending to make me extremely nauseas and I am worried about weight issues.. however, I also don't need another baby right at this time.

Someone told me the IUD can be removed - is this true? The reason I didn't want to get it is I am not sure right now how soon I might want another child and I thought the IUD is five years?

So I'm wondering if anyone has heard of or used Marvelon or has expeiriences with that or the IUD.

no experience with that brand, but iud's can be removed at any time. the ones with hormones are set with enough hormones to last for 3 to 5 years per request, but the ones without hormones are better for you if you are trying to get away from hormonal BC anyway, and all you have to do is tell the doc to remove it adn it is gone.

I have an IUD and have had no issues with it. I've had it for about two years now and most people get to the point where they have almost no period. I have the kind with hormones but since it's localized there are no side effects. Also it can last for up to five years but can be removed at any time.
