For those of you ladies that shave down below what method and tools do you use?
Creams? Lotions? How do you prevent from getting an infected rash? |

I use Dove Soap and a Good Mans Razor, it works wonders for me...... I only shave once a week to avoid any rash in that ever so sensitive place.

i use shaving cream for sensitive skin. everyone is different so i think the pattern you use depends on the person. i can't go against the grain bc it hurts too bad so i have to kind of go sideways. then afterwards i use jergen's lotion. its important that you use lotion without any kind of fragrence or unnecessary stuff in it. that area is pretty sensitive already so using lotions with a lot of frill just irritate it even more. also, curel is pretty good stuff. thats what i used on my tattoos.

Can you believe they tried banning the bikini wax here in NJ? They didn't succeed.
![]() I haven't shaved "down there" in years, but I used a razor and some lady's shaving cream. I quit because I had a hard time for a while where the hair right on the Mound of Venus kept growing back in a stiff tuft, and I hated that!

I use the veet hair removal cream and that works good. Also i just use a good razor and sensitive shaving cream when i couldnt be bothered to use the veet. Another thing i do is i pluck out the hairs that usually get ingrown and it helps to stop a rash. And ive realised to (maybe not everyone) but when its close to that time of the month im more prone to getting shaving rash...

Be very careful if you are going to use a non-electric razor. Besides cutting yourself you stand the chance of developing boils which sometimes result from the use of the non-electric shavers/razors.
Last year I had to have a surgical procedure done. I shaved my underarms with a razor and developed a boil. I have to have that boil lanced and did it hurt. After that my doctor told me not to use non-electric razors. Since then I have not used them and will not.

As for Veet, unless it says it's meant for the vulvular area, dilute it with about 3/4 water. I have read it (or Nair, actually, I think) can be bad for sensitive areas. That was many years ago, though, so maybe they've invented a product meant for that area.

Of course, if it's real bad, you can use a lawn mower.

I am extremely sensitive down there and found that applying baby powder to my bikini line after and then using some lotion really helped. I wouldn't put it too close to the goods just because it screams 'yeast infection', but along where my underwear sit, it worked wonders.
