Heres a Q? Why is it that I can never find a nice fitting pair of trousers. I have a smaller waist but a larger butt. I don't want to have to have it remodelled once I have bought them other than taking up the hem.
I hate the muffin top look and think OMG! when I see others wearing these ill fitting garments. I feel like asking them, 'Did you actually look in the mirror before you bought them, dear' Can not find a well fitting sports outfit either such as Nike eg: top & bottom as they only seem to sell below the size of 16. I have big boobies so would be lucky if it covered my back let alone being able to stretch it from under my arms only to find it won't move. The pants I would need at least a 16 but then it stops just past my pubic area and I reveal the big butt with the grannie undies. Going to the mens section is not where I want to be, so gave up trying to look trendy whilst out shopping. Even going into the bigger womens fashion shops I find trousers that even my grannie would rather died first that be caught wearing. Just because we older women maybe bigger doesn't mean we are brain dead and are just worthy of materials that make you sweat, snag or look like its from the past century. And cutting pants off above the ankle isn't a good look either just makes the poor woman look even more frumpy and less appealing ![]() OH! and why is it the fashion industry seem to think that because we are of that age and maybe carrying abit more weight that they can charge such outrageous prices, just so we can feel ill dressed and even more self consious.

oh I'm so glad someone else has BBs (big boobies) !
I got frustrated trying to find a bra that fit so I hired two smurfs to hold 'em up whenever I go out ![]()

We should all get together and write to the bra manufacturer's with what our ideal bra would look like:
1. Have wide, yet pretty straps, so they don't dig into my shoulder. 2. Have the adjustable strap things in the front where I can easily adjust them. 3. Wide back hooks, with at least 3 hooks for nice back support. 4. Longer all the way around to keep the darn thing down, in place. 5. Beautiful fabrics that don't snag. 6. A sports bra that flatters, rather than flattens the girls! What would you gals add? |

I actually went shopping yeaterday for new bras.
![]() A sports bra stopped at a size 16 DD and had very little support. What? do they think just because some women are bigger that we don't excersise and don't bend over?.... Now I usually wear this size in other bras but it's been acouple of years since I bought new ones (have always bought up big on any that are are on special and actually do, do the job) to find although I have not changed the sizing certainly has. I tried all the bras that where made for big girls (all of 5) only to find all where ill fitting. Underwire sitting out so far from the body that the arms rubbed against them. Cup size E still did not cover the right boob properly and the back was so skimpy that before I even raised my arms up the back was up around my neck ![]() There was a very pretty bra that come in all sizes and I did wonder if they ever actually sold that bra past a size 16 B, forget the 12-14 DD plus sizes as that group was completely forgotton, which surprised me as usually it's the bigger sizes all over that miss out. Although very sexy it's straps where so thin I'd be forever ajusting it, wiggling around trying to get it back into place and then I had a light bulb moment, we according to the manufactures are completely disperate to feel beautiful an sexy, so some would buy them just to sit in the draw too be admired, for that never to be special one day! It was so depressing to once again find that I am unable to buy pretty things for my age and size. Oh! and I do think they should manufacture a Menopause bra where ice packs can be inserted like the chicken fillet bras.

![]() ![]() ![]() Chick fillets?... Sigh, I dare not bend over as part of my exercise regime, not because of my limitations but I would knock myself out... I gave up on sports bras 'cause they squash mine into looking like a uni-boob. Badbutt visual of one giant one instead of two... Anyone else have a problem with these darn tops with their little tucks under the breast that makes the top hang in such a way that you look 43 months pregnant? Even if I turn blue from sucking my belly in, I still look like I am with child... Catherine

Yes we have enough of over 50's (me 52)
to have a room in members rooms I'd say. Some great humour so far at this thread. (hey they are saying "humour"is spelled wrong but that's how we spell it in Australia. Being over 50 for me means arthritis and kidney stones.Ugggh. We are the champions though for surviving 50 years and more ![]()

I love it, 'ice fillets' that would feel so cool in the summer heat while doing chores in the house too. |
