Basically I was fired a couple weeks ago and I spiraled into depression and mania a bit. They changed my meds, but seriously, I have one bill in particular that is saying pay in 5 days or it's going to collections and I don't have enough money and nobody will lend me any.

Plus it took me months to find that job, how long is it going to take to find another one?

Plus my line of work is very narrow... it's going to be hard for me to find another job in that field, and I don't know who else would hire me with my past problems with mood disorder and job.

And I talked to some people and they don't think I have a case for SSI, I'm doing too well on meds... despite having a bipolar attack when I got fired on meds.

I'm only getting 300 dollars of month in public assistance for state disability. I for sure cannot live on that. Plus the relative I live with are so financially burdened right now, they were counting their pennies two days ago and that was their only money.

Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. But believe me, I know exactly how you feel because I am in the same position you are in. I wish there was an easy fix to this problem!

I understand believe me. I had a career and worked till 2007 at the age of 43 when my doctors wouldn't release me to return to work. I was the primary income winner in our home and my husband is waiting also for SSI/SSD. We had to give up our beautiful home and move into a camper, because we have no money for rent or anything else. We can only get food stamps and I only have a medical card, but it doesnt do much good when you have no car or money to pay anyone for gas to take you to get food and medical care. And we are both college grads with over 30 years each working. So it is a race now at what comes next our dimise or we get our SSI/SSD, odds not good. Im typing this on an old computer tied into a neighbors wi-fi, but they are too busy working and trying to survive themselves (they live in a camper also) to be able to help us, and we have no family or friends who can help. It is a truly sad world we live in. We all just have to all keep plodding forward I guess.
