I had an interview today for a junior analyst position. I'm totally overqualified for the job, but I just really need a job. It was so frustrating, the interviewer really grilled me on technical questions related to my resume, but none of them related to the job I was interviewing for. i found her extremely hard to read, and don't feel like I made a good connection with her at all. And she didn't even give me any time to ask any questions about the company or the position, which I thought was weird.

Blech. I was really hoping this job might work out.

But I'm not going to obsess over it, I have a lot of nice harp things this week, and I absolutely have to finish my marking before I leave for BC. And if this job doesn't come through, I'll just have to really beef up my efforts in Aug.

Miss Laura - I didn't get a timeline. It's through a recruiter, so I expect I'll hear more once I hear from the recruiter tomorrow or Wed.

Junerain - always happy to share happy things. I have a private harp lesson in playing Jewish music on the harp on Wed. morning with Sunita Stanislow who is a fabulous harpist, and then I'm going to a private house concert where she's playing Wed. night. Then next Sun. I fly out to BC for a week for the World Harp Congress where I'll have 7 days of harp music from 9 am to 11 pm.

I had interview with four people for a technical role recently. Afterwards I really thought I should get a new career. Felt I totally bombed and was a loser. An hour later they called and offered to fly me onsite for a followup. So you never know...
