So I have recently become involved indirectly in a potential legal issue at work. I'm very much stuck in the middle, but I've been questioned as if I could be the guilty one for something. When you step back and look at the big picture, you see that this is a frivolous case and really caused by mgmt neglect.
But, it's really making me nervous and is upsetting. Things are complicated. I guess I have a hard time expressing myself when a somewhat hard brow blunt legal person comes at me on the offensive. Didn't used to let these things bother me, but I really care about doing a good job and achieving respect as well. So I am taking it personally and I can't seem to stop. Thinking about seeing a therapist to deal with the stress. Anyone have thoughts? |

Since you know you're not guilty, you're lettiing them live rent free in your head. They've taken your 'power' away. Now you've let them get you over a barrel because they've intimidated you. You've got to take your power back. By that I mean, you KNOW you're not guilty, so you must ACT like you're not guilty and don't stress over it. I know it's easier said than done, but keep thinking that you're innocent! You did nothing! So why are you so stressed? What's the worst that could happen? They can't PROVE you did anything wrong, can they? If not, then don't stress over it.
![]() Take your power back. Don't let them intimidate you. You're just FINE. You've done a good job. Don't worry about it. And get some sleep. ![]() |
