What I mean by Meetings- How do you all usually set them up- AND How does your Upper management set them up with you?
This me right now in my life in this craptapular corporation: I have already taken the steps in asking via Email to the upper management to have a meeting.... A waited for a reply back, got-- "Sure beauflow, we can have one on Thursday." I write back saying it sounds good-- Also What time on Thursday and if this meeting will be a phone meeting or a in their office meeting.. These managers rarely ever see us pee ons... so I have to ask-- Usually phone meetings are the meetings to go around here.. Any ways-- I get an email back of "out of office until Thursday" Great huh-- ?? I Don't Know if ANY ONE really Understands my Frustration here.... On the of the greatest side of this all-- I work Grave Yards-- (that is sarcasm) So basically if I don't get a reply back on Wednesday night, what the hell am I to do??-- Just sit around the facility and wait till goodness knows when to be told what they wanted to put in an email of they wanted a phone meeting? I feel freaking jacked around, played with with this all.... blah--- Someone not too long ago set up a meeting with the regional managers and the regional manager did not show up for the meeting!!! I will utterly pissed off if that happens with me.

Thanks CocoaBeans
![]() ![]() Meeting for possible transfer out of my dept. to another one, this due to issues that keep arising (since 2007/08 that they know of already).... It seems like talking about the issues just makes it more so of Me in the wrong to them; so Perhaps i would be a better fit some where else? It is ok-- I wrote them back... telling them lets move the day of the meeting since they are unable to reply back to my inquires.... they probably forgot I am a night shift worker... I had worked in the day shift at one point, so it is understandable, in addition these regional managers have so many little pee ons like me, so we all can't be remembered ![]() ![]() I do realize that a transfer perhaps just would mean similar chaos with a different twist.... I just need to leave the corporation I am with now in the end...

((((Beau)))) awwww, seriously. No response at all? That is awful
![]() generally, at each company or firm, there is a procedure in place to schedule meetings. An Outlook meeting invite (date, time, location), with a few words describing the purpose of the meeting in the subject line, and then a short note / mini outline of the agenda in the body of the invite. The day prior to the meeting, you can send a lil reminder via email. (*it is helpful to schedule the meeting around "breakfast" time, so you have an opportunity to provide a small continental breakfast....do you have petty cash that you can draw from? Or can you expense the meeting?) If you dont receive a response after the second attempt, follow up with a call to their assistants or if they dont have one, leave a message stating how you are looking forward to seeing them at the meeting...and to please bring their appetite, as breakfast will be available. A little nosh goes a long way ![]() If they continue to dismiss your requests, you have a paper trail to reference when you speak with hr to voice your concerns. All the best, dear ![]() ![]() |

Thanks Rose--
Yeah, this corporation has no outline, or if there is no one is providing it in any shape or form-- usually it is either phone tag (which I hate so I loved the email tag better even though I still got upset)... but actually got a call back surprisingly, they remembered i work thirds -- it went ok.. no solution though but they were straight forward with me this time around, which I do appreciate

I think I would ask for what I want. If I want a face to face meeting I would ask for that, and suggest a date range, and possibly even a day and time. If I knew it would be short, I would give and estimate of the time I need (they know that this will be an estimate and may go longer). I would also ask for a reply by a certain date (like the following day) and if I did not receive a reply, I would forward the email and ask if the suggested date/time will work for them.
The squeaky wheel... ![]() |
