I am a teacher whose done A LOT of writing on the side. We recently moved cross country and I'm just looking to make ends meet a little better. I've written ad copy for Buy Owner, trivia for one of this pub trivia games, and copy for greeting cards. I am very comfortable working on line at home. If any one sees anyone needing a writer, copy writer, or blog writer or any type, please pass on the info to me. Any suggestions at all would be great. I'd love to possibly help some of you guys out eventually by writing resumes, but finances have to come first. My family is depending on me.

Other advice is you can start doing it free. It is a way people knows you. Do a blog, offer your hand. Yes it is difficult doing the things totally free but trust me, it is the best way to start anything. While you have your other job

Maybe you could advertise your skills--in the paper, etc. I could even see you putting flyers up on boards where that would be allowed. Best of luck!

Have you ever checked out a website called workplacelikehome.com? It is a forum set up like this one, and has a section for writer jobs for those who want to work at home.

Here's a good link to be familiar with http://www.mediabistro.com/
Free to join but some bucks to participate--it was worth it for me, because I do pick up occasional freelance stuff that pays. |

Have you considered writing proposals? That's an $80k job that can easily be done from home. Check out APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) or search for proposal jobs on LinkedIn. Good luck!
