so my work arranges a heath review so they can try and help me access the support i need as curently my shifts are up and down.
i ask for my wednesday shift to be moved from a late to an early oh know we cant do that that wont be profitable for the buisness....right okay so what can you do?.... oh we can take away your monday holiday and give it to you on a wednesday....right WELL MY PARTNER ONLY GETS WEEKENDS OF SO I CAN ONLY SEE HIM ON A SUNDAY ANYWAY, I WE ARE GETTING MARRIED I NEED THAT TIME WITH HIM TO ORGANISE, OH WELL THEN WE CANT HELP YOU.... BEAR IN MIND I JUST GAVE THEM A LETTER FROM MY DOCTOR AND RASAC AND APPARENTLY THAT ISNT ENOUGHT TO SAY Iim struggiling..... i am so angry right now!!

I don't understand.

You want your shifts changed for health reasons but, then talk about your wedding planning needs and hanging out with your boyfriend?

Yea, I'd be questioning your credibility with that and couldn't care less about someone planning a wedding or how stressful they think that is when it comes to a business decision.

As an employee, even if you had a valid reason for accomidations, you're only entitled to what is reasonable so, if your employer is correct and money would be lost if they were to comply with your needs, perhaps it is time for you to find some where else to work.

maybe i didnt make myself clear enough.
i work tuesday to saterday, my shifts are up and don through out the week.
and doubt my credibility?
okay, you can go ahead and do that. iv lost my brother, my uncle, my gran in the last 9 months and i lost my aunt yesterday, i have to go to court because of childhood sexual abuse.
im struggling with self harm and im proud of myself for not cutting in over 3 months. the support i need is on a wednesday when i see rasac, my support group no secrets and my doctor.
I have provided references from all of my support networks, i have attended every interview. and im sorry that i wont sacrifice my time with my partner, the time i spend with him is few and far between as it is.
And am i not intitled to some happiness where our wedding is concerend.
All i need from them is to move my late shift to an early one.
I dont mean for this to sound like a rant or to cause an argument but you do not know me and i hope to god you have a nice job with lovey managers.
I will leave this here, but please do not presume to question my credability again.

I believe you Cherub. Shift work can be the pits. I had a job where they'd schedule 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift all in the same week. I hope you get your schedule adjusted.

Is there any kind of union there? Night shifts are difficult enough as it is, but having to work other shifts in the same week must feel impossible. Have you offered to take a different night shift in exchange? That might be helpful. Is this business a private agency or state- or municipally-run

im going to the union this week and thats actually a really good idea i might put that on the table at my next meeting, and is a big corperation, i wont name names but it is a very big company :/ im nothing speacial there mind haha i just realised that sounds like im some corperate exsecutive hahaha I work in the callcenter
