until I have to force myself to go in to work and try not to listen to the hours of unmitigated crud that comes out of the mouths of the people 'employed' at the same place doing half the work and making more money than I do.

I can so relate. So annoying. I want a new job so much, but people are like this everywhere. I just want a no nonsense, stay professional, kind of atmosphere so badly!!

I manage to get through the day but it is exhausting. Whereas if everyone pitched in we'd all have a better time of it. Doh! By the way, that is a delicious looking dog.
