I have a good amount of office and call center experience. I have heard there are legitimate companies that look for call center personnel and allow, and even seek, remote (aka work from home) employees. As one who does not currently have a car, and very limited access to any public transport (in the burbs), I was wondering if anyone knew of any companies, or a direction to go in for some work at home employment. I am not sure elance will work for me- I am not so specialized, but any leads would be appreciated.

I don't know of any off hand, but perhaps you can look through the phone book to see if any sound promising. Also, are you connected with a job placement center?
Thanks for this!

This is a thread I wrote a bit back on that very subject. I can talk to you about specifics if you'd like. I've been working at-home jobs for over 10 years.

A place that I have found some companies is Virtual Office Temp.
I discovered a few companies from there, and have applied to some directly. If your interested in something like Ameriplan let me know.
Thanks for this!
