My pdoc says im ready to get a job. I applied for a job I am well qualified for. I asked questions through email and phone and I got responces at first. But for some reason he didnt answer a couple of email questions for almost two weeks now. I am tempted to call to see what is going on but I dont know if this is appropriate.

What I am afraid of is the posibility one reference told him I was mentally ill.

What e-mail questions were they?

Gee, I hope he won't just not respond and you'll never know what someone wrote as a reference.

Hmmm. I don't guess they had that "don't call us, we'll call you" policy stated anywhere. I personally don't think it would hurt to call and ask. You could say you are "still very interested in the position" while you're at it and see what they say......

Anybody think I'm giving the wrong advice?

I'd also think it wouldn't hurt to call. At least then they'd be forced to give you a direct answer and it would put your mind at ease.

Good luck with the job search!

Hi , i think 2 weeks is a long time for you to have waited for a response so its ok to call back. as for the non response to the email there might be a variety of reasons but you should definitely check on your status. good luck

If they didnt answer few emails from you i think you shouldnt call because they must be answer for a reasons. and everytime i applied for a job i always make sure the references someone who will give a positive and honest answer about me and my work, next time make sure you talk first to your references before make them your reference

I called early this morning and it went directly to voicemail. I left a message but got no responce back.

I used that reference because that was the job I had similar experiance. Sadly, I had a major mental break on that job, but I did the work extremely well when I was well.

Is the person the job itself or a hiring agent you have to go through? My friend has been job hunting and always uses agencies to go through and most of them are not in his state, etc. I don't think any of the online jobs are usually "the" job people, most large companies hire someone to find applicants for them.

If it is not "his" job he's offering, I would not mess with him anymore as he sounds like a not very good agent and/or the job might just be an exciting come-on, etc. and not really exist.

Congratulations. You made it so far. Wow. That takes guts.
I would not worry about it. Most of the time they are just busy or dealing with their own issues.
