I suggest you stick with the job and be grateful. But keep looking for other jobs!

I have to agree with PAYNE1, stick with the job, it beats unemployment. Keep looking for new employment.

If you can tolerate the job and just dislike it, I'd say maybe its best to keep it for now while looking for something you might like better. But if you hate it because you're being harrassed or you're hardly able to function in it or something like that 'd say maybe quit before you find something else. I haven't really worked anywhere for a significant amount of time...but from my understanding if you have you can get unemployment or whatever till you find a new job(not so sure how well that process works though).

I can relate. I have grown to despise my place of employment...for more reasons than one. Some days are literally emotional and intellectual torture... Unfortunately, though, jobs are not aplenty right now.

If I told the owner(s) where to stick it and walked out, things will be a whole lot worse than they are now

(one of my friends refers to this place as my "get well" job so I try to keep that in my mind when I get really bummed)

And as of right now, I am able to keep a roof over my head, food in the fridge - for me and Kitteh, gas in the car, and clothed. It's sad but the reality right now.

So I don't totally lose it (and everything. literally), I am going to T and Pdoc in my spare time, so I can get out of this place (my T&E budget = mental health ).

If you can, try to hang in and look for something else in the meantime. But I am definitely with Hellion, if you are being harassed or abused, definitely find a lawyer and get out.

Best wishes to you

i am still looking for work and can't find anything. yes, jobs are not plentiful like most people want to believe. where i live, the state never produced jobs like cali and ny do it doesn't have many opportunities for good careers. i have a degree in computers no certs too costly but have no field experience in the field.

my bf and i volunteer at the library will be 3 weeks since we have been there. it is great working there but the lack of finances is killing us. still is hard to find any job degree or no degree i dont qualify for anything. i am going to another city on friday morning seeing what kind of employment opportunity they want to help me with to keep my state benefits gotta wonder about that.

i dont know what to find in a job anymore. the low paying jobs wont hire me because of not much experience and a huge gap of employment. if i could get a part time position within the bookstore in the library that would be a start for me. no employer wants to hire someone with lack of experience i just need real and new answers not the same dumb crap that isn't helping anybody right now....
