I'm 24. I feel old and I want to learn the piano more. Is it too late at my age? I've always wanted to be a singer, but I've always been too shy to sing in public. I sung in front of an audience last year and they liked my voice. I want to create my own music, but I feel like learning musical instruments is too late at my age. I don't know if I'm the creative type. I listen to the same songs I like ad nauseam. I try to compose songs in my head and sometimes, they can sound ****.

I think if you are really motivated, then you can learn instruments as an adult. As far as being a singer, you will never know until you try. You might do free things/contests, etc. And at least enjoy your efforts. Lots of people get breaks later on in life, I think.
Thanks for this!

Dear absentminded,

You are NEVER too old to do ANYTHING in life. The only time when you are too late to do anything is when you are dead!

You are 24....you're talking as if you are 94!

Here's some inspiration for you -

At age 33, Oksana Chusovitina competed and won a medal in the Beijing Olympics as one of the oldest female Olympic gymnasts ever.

A woman in my country started writing novels at the age of 65 and till date has published 158 novels.

Another woman in my country didn't know how to cook until she got married at the age of 25. She learned to cook from her mom-in-law....and since then has become a big name, started her brand of cake mixes...wrote cookbooks, been on TV and runs a food blog.

Please read this list - Discovery Health "10 Famous Accomplishments Made Late in Life"

It's never too late.....go ahead!!!!!!!!!!!

PS - I wanna be a filmmaker and even I watch stuff repetitively

Good luck!!
