I was looking for words of encouragement or some support regarding my anxiety. I just started a new internship where I'll be for 10 more weeks and even tho I'm in the middle of my second week..I still feel nervous and anxious all the time. I wake up way early with my heart racing. I'm working with children who are very hyper and have some problems in behavior. I was told today that I'll have to plan and run all the group sessions next week..and im really scared of not being able to come up with new and creative ideas and failing :/ im a soft spoken person so this is very challenging for me and I'm not sure how I can deal with the butterflies and the anxious feeling I have ..any words of encouragement or ways to cope with the anxiety would greatly be appreciated. I know this will only make me stronger and I know I can quit cause I'm scared of doing it but it's super hard to cope with the nervousness :

Hello Kayp24, you can do this! It's ok to be nervous, it's only your second week. You are not expected to be an expert straight away and you will gain confidence, the more you do it. Performance anxiety improves with practice. Hugs

Are you expected to come up with some new and creative ideas, per the employer, or are there some ideas that can be 'borrowed' that are known to work well?

Anxiety over performance, on the job can usually be a challenge, but keep in mind, everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect, and so long as the kids seem to enjoy you leading them in a group setting, that matters more than anything else.
