I would probably have done the same thing. It is sad that we have to hide who we are, in order, to get a job.

To be honest, I think personality tests for jobs are an insult to intelligence.

With regards to answering questions like that on a generic application form though, yes I've lied.

It depends on the question... If they ask "Have you ever been depressed or felt anxiety?". Answering "no" is the wrong answer because everyone gets depressed or anxious sometimes and to say differently is not being honest.

I do that all the time on job assessments. Give them the answer they're looking for, not the truth. Everyone knows that

TBH, no, I would never tell on a co-worker that stole a pen or a stapler because that's just not worth it, but if I'm asked that question on a job assessment, I would absolutely always say that I would tell my supervisor and have them deal with it. It's common sense really.

All those tests do is screen out the total idiots that would say yes to any of their bizarre questions, ever steal any thing, do you have a drug problem, ever get in a fight at work, is it stealing if take something without asking even if you were going to return it. Yup sorts the total morons out right of that bat, only use those tests have lol.
