Today I have accepted a new job. I need to give a two week notice to my current employer. Well, I feel very guilty for wanting to leave them.
Why do I feel guilty? I do not know. Any suggestions? ![]() |

I think sometimes our jobs become like our family and we get attachted and even though, we need to move on it leaves us a little guilty leaving the other behind. I think it is pretty normal and will pass soon after you get to your new job. Congratulations by the way on the new job.

Congrats!
It's normal to feel guilty. Though you are taking your own journey and found a new job and will have new memories to enjoy. I don't see anything wrong with visiting your old job every once in while to see how they all are doing and I know they would like it too! |

Thanks for the support! I just think it is really odd of me to feel guilty for leaving a job when the point of leaving is to do something better for myself. It just makes no sense to me.

It just works that way. We get attached to the people we work with and seeing things that are farmiliar to us.
Just remeber that its okay. Give a two weeks notice and then be excited about going on to something better. |
