Shouldn't it be illegal for HR to accuse employees of lying or even for the HR person lying to cover their butts because they are 2 faced liars.

What's happened tigersassy? Usually HR cannot act on hearsay without evidence from another person and even then it would be your word against theirs.

It depends, a lot of states do not require an employer to have a reason to fire someone so although it's not ethical...legally, depending on your state, it would be hard to pursue.

My HR manager told her boss that I was lying about something that I have no reason lie about. Because if she didn't she'd get in trouble as she should. And my store manager and HR manager are making it extremely difficult for me to do my job. It's too the point I want quit and don't care I don't have another job lined up. My store manager and HR manager are both 2 faced liars. I've personally been the recipient of several of these bold faced lies.
