My boyfriend has been having trouble with some coworkers at his job. These two guys have ganged up and done some really nasty **** to him. They talk about him behind his back, try to make him look bad, blame stuff on him that he didn't even do, and none of his bosses are doing anything about it. These two guys have been at the place for 5 and 2 years and my boyfriend has only been there since May so there's not really anything he can do. I don't get why they treat him like this, he's helped one of the guys before with some stuff at his house.
They throw trash in the bed of his truck and keep him from getting the scrap wood and stuff that is left over at the end of the day.
My bf has had some trouble with his truck also. It's one thing after another. Flat tires, engine not starting numerous times, and now to top it all off, he went outside this morning to try to figure out why his truck was acting weird yesterday. He discovered that someone had stuffed two feet worth of shop rags in his effing tail pipe!! He has done nothing to deserve all this and he plans on telling his boss but doesn't think they're going to do anything about it. Is there anything we can do about it? What do y'all think?

well it certainly sounds like they are being bullies. he could try talking to them but this would probably do little good and with their time at the company I doubt the boss is going to do anything either. the guys probably see it as hazing. it could stop on its own after a time. your bf might just want to find a different job.

how about advising your bf to approach Human Resources department? If there is nobody to talk to about this, maybe try to weigh things, I know how hard to look for a job now specially in western states. Is the pay worth more than the troubles affecting him? Are these guys ridiculing him have nothing to lose? If so, they could do worse than what they are doing now. I hope your bf won't lose control at work because that makes it really worst. I hope and pray that someone in the job place would assist your bf ASAP.

It's a privately owned business so they don't have an HR dept. but he did tell the owner this week when he came back from vacation Monday. The owner was pissed that happened. They can't prove who did it but the owner will have a meeting with all the employees and get it straight.

Stuffing rags in the tail pipe is a safety violation and could have caused your bf to be overcome by carbon monoxide (or worse). The police should be called and your bf should press charges if that ever happens again. Sometimes the only voice people hear is the one involving the law or money.
