Right now, I'm in a very uncertain and scary place. The pharmacy I work at is tremendous, my coworkers are fantastic. Most important, they understand that I need time for my therapy sessions (once every 2 weeks which I take extended lunch) plus my weekly group meetings for social anxiety. The problem is I'm through agency, not state union. I am likely to be transferred back to my old pharmacy. My fears are two fold: one is the likely fact that my hours will change, causing me to miss group (especially if I'm needed for overtime). Two is the extreme hostility I'm likely to receive when I take those extended lunches or beg off overtime. I need help so badly but I feel like there is always an obstacle. Maybe I'm just never meant to be happy and with someone.

I understand where you are coming from ak482

The fear of the unknown.

Right now you're in a safe haven at work because you understand your parameters and what commitments you can and can not make, which have served you well.

Can any of this be negotiated / discussed with your employer beforehand so that there are no "suprises". No need really to discuss exactly specifically what you would need the time off for.....

I would be going back to where I worked previously. I'm confident my bosses would be okay with it, but I would get hostility from some co-workers. Since I'm not union and these co-workers have friends in union places, they could create hostility and I couldn't do anything about it.
