Right now I have been looking for jobs. for a job that best suits my needs and strengths. I know that I need a set schedule, and need to deal with few people, and be in the place of a behind the scenes job.

Thus far, I have not been able to achieve that...

I, as many people with bipolar NEED firm structure or... am pretty easily thrown off.

I'm considering nightshifts.... I have heard this might be a no no... due to circadian rhythms and what not. But everything else seems doable...

The fear me and my boyfriend have is my pattern.... Last time I worked nights... I ended up in the hospital.... BUT there were several other factors present that are not now... for instance... I know I have a condition... I was working two jobs back to back, I mainly drank coffee, monster, and took caffeine pills, and my diet was pretty much cookies and pizza...

Advice? I'm a firm "gotta try to know" type person. I'm curious as to what others have to say.
Than you.

There was a thread about this recently in this forum ... if you dig around you might be able to find it. I am not bipolar but working nights did not work for me. I was never able to sleep well in the daytime so I always felt sleep-deprived which led to mood problems. I was able to work 3-11 with no problem and since few people want to work that shift, I never had a problem getting work.

Yeah stay away from diet or caffeine pills, and energy drinks are also bad for you. What we put into our bodies has a direct effect on our mental health, as within so without.

You will eventually find the job that fits you best. You already know what works for you, so that's good. Keep your options open but don't settle either.
