I realized something today its a bit difficult to describe but I'll do my best to explain. I had a tough customer who was critical of me despite knowing that I was new. She didn't want to walk to cust serv to get help from someone who knew more than I did about the store. This made me think that inside she's like a child. She's probably critical of me b/c she's used to having things her way ooooor is so critical of herself that she projects it to others. Or maybe both . At any rate it's easy to hear and say that those who hurt others are really just hurting themselves but I think I actually saw it unfold before my eyes. So I guess my next thought is if they know it hurts why continue the chain. You know what I mean? Why be critical of someone else when you don't like it yourself? I did get a chuckle out of it though I bet she's one of those people who call others lazy but doesn't want to walk a lil further hahaha (btw she has no disability walks just fine).

I suppose it's possible she had pain (which I wouldn't be able to see) but that doesn't explain the high horse attitude (did that make sense?) Thoughts anyone?

Keyslost - thanks for sharing this. What you say is so true - when people are hurting others they are really just hurting themselves but it sounds like you really understood it. And when you decide yourself not to take it personally (because it isn't) and not to continue the chain of negativity, you have created space for good and love in the world.
