I give up looking for a job. I can't seem to keep one and I'm miserable. I can't take care of myself let alone my son and ways to get out of this abusing household with my family. I'm done. I give up and I don't care anymore. It seems like I'm just not good enough for jobs even though I have a damn degree.

I admit to feeling a sort of resentment about having to work for basic necessities. Is there something specific that you are having trouble with? For instance do you have trouble getting along with coworkers, or your boss, or do you have trouble with the workload?

I hear ya. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful husband who supports me, but I haven't had my own income since we relocated in November. Makes me feel like a failure, but I try to take it a day at a time. I think I just need more things to occupy my time, job or no job, so I don't ruminate as much. Do you feel the same way, or is it mostly about income/independence for you?

I think maybe you just haven't found the RIGHT job that fits YOU. Job hunting is a lot like dating. When jobs don't work out, it's because it wasn't a right fit for us in the first place.

I understand. Jobs are hard to get and it seems the more qualified you are, the harder it is. I applied for 30 jobs and heard back from one or two. Please don't be disheartened, keep trying as getting some sort of independence means you can start to change things in your life. It seems to be that being in any kind of job is more attractive to future employers than not having a job at all. You'll get there.

I've been fired about 25 times in my life (yes, you read that right) and I can't seem to get along with anybody for some reason. There have been a few exceptions; I get along with co-workers who are smart and share my love for learning. There's too much apathy in the workplace today, and I find that irritating. If you can't be proud of what you're doing, why do it? I guess I have a bad attitude. Yeah, I know I do. But sometimes I feel like I'm in too deep to change at this point.
