I HATE, DETEST, DESPISE first shift!!!!

I have worked the night shift all of my life....now, due to the weak economy, I am forced to work first!!!! I hate it!!!! Been on it since beginning of year!!

I leave at dark, get in at dark, I go to work-everything is closed--I get off of work, everything is closed...school bus traffic to and fro.....have to miss work to go to doctor, dentist, car inspection, tags, etc...PLUS...I am NOT a morning person!!!! Never have been, will be, can be, plan to be, intend to be!!

And this is the shift people "love'!!????
H---I do not even like it!

Give me second or third....or both at once!
Anything but first!!!

Hello LifeIsCruel: Many years ago now, I worked straight nights. I loved it. It was quiet (most of the time), no bosses around, & time during the day to do what I wanted (as long as I made sufficient time for sleep.) I've always been more of a night person. Even now, I'm pretty-much in a stupor all morning. I stumble through the day & really wake up about 10 PM, when it's time to go to bed. I sympathize with your predicament...

My ex has worked 12 hour night shifts for years. It's...done things to him. Yeah! That's it. "Things". When he shaves his head, the lack of sleep makes him look like a bonafide Uncle Fester.

Yes 😩 and dealing with higher ups. Ugh. And more people. Complaining. Questions after questions on top of my work I have to stop just to answer. I don't have casual clothes because I shop in my uniforms, on the way home ! Lol
