I just started selling our old, unwanted stuff on eBay. All the clothes that my final son has outgrown is getting listed. I hope the effort will pay off and this will not become a stressful hassle.

In the past, I just donated the stuff. But my friends are doing eBay, so I thought I'd try it, too.

Good luck from me as well. Shipping can be a hassle.

I've been selling on Ebay for years. In addition to my own stuff, I also buy things cheap at garage sales and thrift stores and resell them for a profit. Shipping is not too much of a hassle in my opinion, I ship most things USPS.

I really enjoy selling on eBay. Important to think of it as a business. Your buyers will expect great service. This includes shipping promptly, packaging items well, and being fair and honest. I suggest leaving them feedback first. Be prepared for handling buyers special requests and in some instances grievances like USPS shipping delays.

My first auctions just closed. I sold three things. Shipping is easy, all done through eBay and PayPal. The stuff that didn't sell, I'll donate now. This is a little distraction hobby I can do without much stress.

I've been to a few yard sales on my vacation time, but I'm never off on Saturdays and Friday's which is when yard sales are going on. We have plenty of thrift stores in my town I could go to. What do you guys find that sells the best besides name brand clothes and electronics? I just sold a couple of pairs of my old ae jeans, and I bought a few broken iPhones two of which I fixed up and one I sold to my brother in law. I gave him a family discount, where I only charged him for the price I paid for the phone plus shipping and the cost of the screen and digitizer. Idk where I'm going with this. I'll just post.

Certain collectibles also sell well along with certain vintage items.

What kind of collectibles? Do you know where to pick them up at instead of yard sales?

Woo hoo!! You go girl. Selling on eBay is a lot of work but so rewarding. It takes time and dedication to be successful and earn positive feedback.

You're off to a great start.
