I was doing some personal journaling and my mind ran away with me. I wanted to send you some of my ramblings. It is simply nothing more than one person's perception of life. Nothing is meant to be serious, but, your perspective on it would be appreciated, only if you have the time.
It begins like so: Dear Journal, It is frightening how much power we give to one source of trade (monetary currency). Studying the history of trade and its links to population growth has opened my eyes to a scary pattern. Now, with over eight billion people on this planet, the threat that we as a species, have become to other life forms is phenomenal. The interaction between humans and other life forms or systems is very imbalanced. Has the culture of consumption become too overpowering to stop, now? Are we guaranteeing a future extinction, brought on by our own actions since the industrial revolution? If a group of people chose to set up some other form of exchange instead of monetary, like a return to a swap or barter system, would they be able to survive outside of the modern governance and capitalist controls presently in place? I keep thinking of the Mennonites and Hutterites, and compare our rate of waste and consumption to theirs. If we were to model some of our systems to theirs, minus the religious beliefs associated to their culture, would a regression to capitalist production be possible? Dominant social systems such as organized religion, government systems, and mass communications seem to be breaking down. I often read, and/or hear numerous statements of a loss of faith and trust in such groups. People do not know who or what to believe. The leaders of our governing bodies, corporations, spirituality, and the exchange of knowledge and information have lost, or are presently losing, faith and trust of the masses. Fear is growing adamantly due to distrust of conflicting groups. The ongoing battle to win favour of the people, is causing phenomenal stress in each societal group. Many people I interact with on social media don't want any leaders anymore. They do not want a leader. They prefer a more interactive system of governance. States are failing all over the world. I have heardany people state their desire to "quit the system" or disappear. Similar to the "Hippies" in the sixties, Gypsies in Eastern Europe, and Rastafarians of Bob Marley's time. Environmentalists of today were the Greenpeacers of the sixties. Once Greenpeace became strong enough of a threat, the governing bodies opened dialogue with such groups and have now assimilated them into the corporate mindset and people are laughing at such groups now. Desires to revert back to simpler ways of life, for both the planet and themselves, is showing amazing growth in groups, especially in reference to spirituality, with increasing conversion to Pagan beliefs like Wicca, Indigenous peoples and their spiritual beliefs, and earlier pre-Colonial times. People are keenly aware of the damage that the Industrial Age has wrought on this planet, our only source of survival. Nobody has answers, or nobody wishes to hear the answers. Endangerment of the human race could set this planet on a different ecological course. Eugenics is looking very tantalizing right now. The idea of weeding out who should survive and who should be left behind in this race for resources is showing up in areas like bioengineering. DNA collection of all peoples, is being promoted to the masses as a chance to trace their roots back. To me, it seems to be nothing more than a way for the present controlling groups to collect the information that scientists and governing bodies need to decide how to bioengineer the future human race. Bioengineering is raising many ethical questions such as: "Who has the authority to decide which humans are valued more than others?" "What right do groups have, or should they have, to genetically alter a species?" "What extent of control or power would such changes to the human race entitle the people who possess such knowledge?" I think that the realization that such possibilities even exist is what is fuelling people's desires to detach from association with such groups. To dissociate from such groups, by disagreeing with the ideas or policies of bioengineering may give an individual a sense of personal control over their bodies and thus, their fate. The hope that possessors of this knowledge would lose the power to control other people's fates, if most individuals simply choose to disagree, might be part of what is driving people to detach themselves from the system presently in place. This is simply a personal idea, though, and nothing more. As I sit here, admiring the natural beauty around me, I am contemplating the upcoming week of training, in the retail industry which, by its very nature, is the epitome of consumption. Are my actions leading to my own demise? Am I being a hypocrite for engaging in the very system that is bending and breaking the rules and ethics that could save us all? Am I sacrificing my own power to choose another source of action to preserve our planet? Or, was my power to decide that lost a long time ago? The very group I have chosen to exchange my labour with for insufficient resources for my own survival. It is an anxious question that I have not yet found an answer to. NN

People need goods and services but advertising tells us we need more than we really need. Your just doing a job the customer makes the decision . about the monetary system this is trouble coming because they got rid of the gold standard making money off of money has gave birth to credit people are consumed with not working and letting your money work for u. Giving your money to someone to make more money doesn't have a circle just a line that ends. whenever the stock market goes down the real news is someone made a lot of money and it will happen again in the next three years a reset its a scam. the really bad thing is the dollar is the standard but the yen is getting closer to the dollar. The real killer of capitalism is greed combine that with having to pay city, county, state and federal employees pension and health care is discriminate and unlawful that's not what taxes are for. Then to have a union with in government is crazy the past always repeats itself. No one ever thought Rome could fall this country is still young. Heck Cesar only asked for 10% would be that great.yes I really admire the Amish here in Wisconsin.
