Hello all,

It has been a long time since I've been on these forums. I am a longtime depression/anxiety sufferer stable on meds but I still have issues going to work when it's time to go. I have the horrible habit of calling in at the last moment. This leads to the inevitable elation that I don't have to go to work at that moment but later the realization that my continued absences will disappoint my manager and affect job growth opportunities gets to me. Not to mention eventually losing the job if I keep calling in.
Is there any book out there that you guys know of regarding "getting up the nerve to go to work" or "getting the motivation to go" etc...? I've looked but can't find exactly what I am looking for. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'm stable on meds and feel confident at my job (although my insecurities show their faces as my work shift nears) but some reason I'm having this issue AGAIN. I know there is hope because earlier last year I did really well on a contract job. I don't know exactly what the key was but I know I felt valued. Anyway, any suggestion on books or something like that would be well received.

Thanks!

Z

"The Power of Full Engagement" by Jim Loehr and Tony Schwartz.
The book discusses the physical, mental, and other aspects of managing your energy at work.
