I hate my job but I don't know what to do. I've moved jobs 3 times over the past year trying to find the right role and my latest one is awful. I'm a carer and the work is draining and my colleagues are rude so I feel completely isolated. I feel I've chosen the wrong career path but I've moved so many times I don't know what to do at this stage. I had to go home early today due to anxiety and just feeling like I couldn't do it.

I don't know what to do.

I've walked out of my CNA positions as I have had the same experiences as you.

It's never too late to change jobs and experience new things...

It's depressing working there and I think I may be going back to it Hate my job, please help

Eleny, sorry to read that. I don't think it matters how many times you have changed jobs, I think the most important is that you are feeling good and above all better about yourself. When you have anxiety and feel drained all the time it's definitely not a good place to be.
Sending peace to you.

Care work is stressful IME, especially to caring people (I know that is an irony). I worked for a care provider and the hiring was constant which tells you something.

You gave it your best shot, that's all you can do, each job you will be learning a bit more about the world of work and yourself - look upon this period as being a step closer to finding a best fit job for you.

Leave.
1999- went to work at a firm... basically I felt in my gut I needed to leave. I nicely told them and offered to work for my last few weeks. They stiffed me on pay. I moved on. But 10 years later the guy in charge was arrested for crimes he committed at work.

2006 got a job I hated but made myself stay because I felt I ran too much. And got stuck working for an abusive boss... worst time of my life.

I spent many years as a CNA so I can relate. I was initially going to go to nursing school, but when that didn't work out I switched careers. I still work in healthcare, but now it's more administrative.

Thank you for your replies! I struggle everyday in there and dread going in. I need to go. The thing is I have a month notice period but I honestly don't think I could stay another month so I'm thinking of just leaving but I'm not sure how to do it? I just know I can't stay any longer

Give your one month notice and hope they let you go earlier? I think you'll feel better once you hand in your notice as you'll have an end date in sight.

Good luck!

If you have any annual leave left to take maybe they can let you take that so it's in effect a shorter leave period?

I left the job. Sent an email to HR and said I wouldn't be coming back. I just can't face it, even though I know I should work the notice. And although I feel great relief I also feel scared and sad.
