I'm so tired of my job, and I feel like it's been my perpetual state almost from the start (around 3.5 years). I've been soldiering through it with various changes and adjustments in my schedule, which are possible because I work from home - which is the main reason I took this job. But now I've got another "code of conduct" assignment - tedious, probably badly written, has barely anything to do with me since my position is... "barely employed", I often feel. And I feel sick about even skimming it. But I have to finish it today, because it somehow slipped through the **** corporate email system and the deadline was yesterday. The problem is it's late, and in the past it's taken me up to 2 hours to get through that crap. But tomorrow I have to get up on time to go to the office for the latest update for the buggy **** application that I have to use for my work. And it's too much to hope that the boring assignment will help me with my insomnia because of how frustrated I am.
In my free time I've been working on videogame projects, but I don't have any experience in many aspects of that, and due to my social problems I can't count on anyone's help, so at best a finished product is going to take many years if I ever manage to finish anything without burning out. And at moments like this everything feels futile and hopeless. Anyway, about once a year I get an urge to share my situation with the Internet, and here's to another year. |

Even without knowing what your 'code of conduct' assignment is, I can tell it's going to be boring just by that phrase. I hope you got through it.

Yeah, I did. Not last night, though. I had to leave about half for the morning. At this point it's past boring. It was boring when I read that gibberish for the first time. Now it's kind of into the torture territory. Well, at the very least it's a national holiday tomorrow, and even though it doesn't apply to me, I can make it apply.
