If you wish to no longer hear responses, which I can respect, you can unsubscribe from the thread, or you can ask an admin to close it. But it is unnecessary to be rude to people who continue to comment or provide feedback.

I know it's difficult working while struggling with PTSD. I can totally identify with you. I deal with it everyday myself. Along with the generalized anxiety disorder and severe chronic major depressive disorder. We are here to support you, and we want to help, even if that means providing a different perspective. Please try to remember that no one is trying to tell you that you are wrong, we're just trying to help you see it from a different perspective and in doing so, feel less anger about the situation.

Please don't push away people who just want to help. If you are not in a place to hear further comments or feedback, use your self-care strategies by unsubscribing to the thread or simply not responding. I understand where you're coming from, being over it, I've been there myself, but no need to chastise people who want to contribute.

Excellent post. I agree 100%.

If you don't want to be quoted, don't post. Simple as that.

Then state in the beginning that you don't want to be helped. It would save you a lot of headache.

Folks who have PTSD obviously need some form of help or support at the very least, otherwise they never get better. However, one cannot make them take the help and support offered. I can see that.

Now with that said, what is the point of this entire thread again?

Art, Please stop. You can no longer get by under the pretence of the desire to 'help'.
You could question why this thread made you go on the offensive.
The derailment of this thread says just as much about us as it does about leomama, maybe even more so.

I think Leomama did just fine by coming back and stating the case at the end. No rudeness, there. Sometimes we begin a thread in a certain mood, sleep on it, and realize that we are no longer in that mood. Thank you Leomama for clarifying.
Thanks for this!

Can someone please close this thread? It's no longer helpful to anyone.

Sorry...I missed like, a whole page after my post from yesterday. I will show myself out of the conversation. I didn't mean to get into the middle of anything. Yes, I agree, please close the post though; it's just gotten derailed.

It's illustrated a point that some people push the point after the point. I still have my opinion but it's irrelevant. I host my thread and I tried to stay on topic but other people took it off track.

I don't think it got off-track. I think you didn't want to hear other perspectives and just wanted to rant. You made a lot of generalizations in your posts, which people refuted. How is that getting off track by responding to your generalizations?

This is a good exercise for you and your PTSD, by challenging yourself to ignore things that trigger you and not be bothered or worried by every opinion that comes your way.

Lol! What the heck? I'm not interested in having other people's points of view shoved up inside of me. I'm not promoting any viewpoint but some of the other posters are. This isn't about my ptsd. Stop bringing it back to that. Why not start a new discussion on the topic you want to talk about?

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
