Hello,
I just joined this forum and am posting for the first time. I was diagnosed bipolar two weeks ago and took a leave from work to adjust to the mood stabilizers. I found that during a manic stage I could not work as a massage therapist, it was too slow and my body couldn't handle it. I just went in for a trial run and even though the mania is gone it was very difficult to do. I'm not sure why I dislike it so much now when I loved it before. Has anyone else had a similar experience or work as a massage therapist? I'm scared I won't be able to continue on in this profession. |
