Right now I've been unemployed for a month, and it's getting very upsetting. Fortunately I still live with my parents, but they are
going through a rough patch financially, and I feel terrible that I can't really chip in. I have been trying to find jobs but haven't really had luck. I was employed for 4 days as a server & bartender, but they let me go because I had no experience and it was going to take too long to train me. With my social anxiety it was a very stressful job, too. I went to beauty school a couple years ago, so I'm a licensed hair stylist. But after a few jobs in this industry, I wasn't really making any money. I tried to be self employed (December last year up until I became unemployed) but it drained all of my savings and wasn't working out. I hate the financial stress of the job, it's very unstable. So here I am, looking for a job without an actual college degree, or much experience outside of hair styling. I feel like most people will look at my resume and assume I'm unintelligent and incapable of doing a different type of job. Very discouraged. I had a good interview at a coffee stand and it seemed like the manager wanted to hire me, but she never called me back when she said she would, and she never called back even after I left a message. I've applied many places and haven't gotten any calls yet. On top of everything, we live in a rural community. Our house is a couple miles out of town, so I'm basically stuck at home all of the time. Very lonely. |
