I think a work related thing . . . but doesn't anyone suffer from this? For years I had a bully boss who's big fun thing was to give me more work than possible and thus, I became really good and doing things right and fast. I have all the tricks.

But now... I find myself excessively frustrated with the rest of the world that seems to take forever and almost can never do it right?

Everything seems to take forever. If I transfer money from my account -- it can take a week. Why? Even my doctor.. I got my blood test on last Friday and she e-mails me to comment a week later.. A WEEK? My online portal results it immediately. Even my amazon orders used to come in like 1 or 2 days but now.. it can be a week to ship. It seems like lately nothing can happen on Sunday or Monday or Friday or Saturday.. leaving me three days to get stuff done... and hope it is done right.

My life is slipping away with this.. I am becoming frustrated that there is seemingly nothing I can do that will happen quickly. Or be done right in the first place.

It took me 3 hours to submit a response. Where is my sense of urgency?

I face this every day at work. Everything seems urgent.

Maybe you can work on changing your relationship with 'urgency'. Very little in life is truly urgent. Among all the things that appear urgent, ask yourself what tasks are essential and deserve your impatience. To be essential, the task would need to be so important that you will have problems if it isn't completed urgently. The remaining tasks should be considered less essential and should be left to flow to completion at a slower pace.

I have been thinking about it and I think it is also related to forgetting. I find it easier to keep track of things if I can get it done quickly. So when things are slow and plodding it seems like my world is a series of things that are a surprise and make me disrupt my day because they got lost in the slow stream.

But it still seems like if I had my way everything would be done quickly, but, I am constantly fighting others that don't want to be this way.

I am taking some steps to stop this at work. I decided to only e-mail my boss in the morning with stuff and then hold everything else that isn't urgent until the next day.
Thanks for this!
