In May I quit my job of 5yrs. The manager had been harassing me over time and I took stress leave in May 2017. When I returned things were a little better and then in Oct or Dec they got bad again. A few coworkers were starting to notice that the manager treated me differently from the other staff and seemed to have higher expectations with me then anyone else even though we all had the same job title. Something happened after a really bad storm on a weekend in May and that was the end for me.
I got hired for another job on July 12. I lasted less than a month. The expectations were BS. I was trained for maybe two weeks and then put on the customer service desk/returns to cover breaks ALONE! I only had about 2 shifts with training and not even full days. The woman training me was awful and verbally abusive. The expectations and the insufficient training were too much so I called and told them I wasn't coming back on Saturday morning.
I think I am going through perimenopause too and with my frame of mind right now I don't know how I could possibly go back to working.
Thank you for reading this far.

Hello I love teddybears: I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral!

One additional forum, here on PC, that may be of interest would be the women-focused support forum. Here's a link:

https://forums.psychcentral.com/women-focused-support/

I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

Ive had a simliar perspective. Like its a social tactic to see who they can snare. Ive worked a bunch of jobs and noticed management tends to pull the same strings . Its super gross.
