I work for a chiropractor. She's the owner, the boss, etc. My coworker who trained me seems to think she's my boss. I'm fed up. I now know why 3 people quit the job. My mom said to talk to my boss so I sent her a text. I go into work and know my job. My coworker leaves notes or stays past her shift to interfere with my duties. I told her to quit bossing me around I know my job, but she hasn't stopped. I like the job and duties just not the coworker. Any suggestions?

Talking to your boss in person might be a far more effective way to handle this. Also make sure you have examples of her behavior. My other thought is can you use her experience there to your benefit in someway? She might be trying to be helpful in her head, but you experience it as an intrusion.

I would definitely start asking questions to find out why the coworker is leaving notes and making changes. I would try to have a discussion with her to find out and talk to the boss about how uneasy you feel about this. Communication is the key.

It sounds like your coworker feels threatened by your comfort-level with your job and the tasks you complete. Maybe she views you as the competition because she's insecure about herself. Whatever HER issue is, she's projecting it on to you, and trying to sabotage your well-being, your sanity, and worst of all - your job. She's trying to get you to quit. Don't let her win. Tell your boss your concerns. That's the only move you've got. If your boss doesn't have a talk with your coworker about her inappropriate behavior and it continues, quit that job b/c it's just not worth the agony.

My mom thinks I should keep this job because the doctor has had trouble filling the position and will work around my disability. I like the doctor and my job. I'm trying to work through the issues with the coworker. It's improving.
