I currently have an open schedule at work. I can work any day and anytime they need me. I have no restrictions. I am the only one in my department who can work 7 days a week. Most of my other coworkers can only work 5 out of 7 days. One coworker can’t work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. One coworker can only work Tuesday Thursday and Saturday, stuff like that.

On Saturday I asked if they could not schedule me on Saturday. She said no, because they need me. I asked then if they could not schedule me past 2 on Saturdays. My other coworkers leave at 12 on Saturdays. There is no one to unload the trucks past 12. therefore if there isn’t much work to do, I have to go out on the sales floor. When I asked her about this request, her answer was the same. we need you. I’m willing to work longer hours on the days I can. I’m not trying to be difficult.

I’m just frustrated. Why can everyone else get days and hours off but I can’t?

I asked for these requests because my anxiety is getting bad. I didn’t feel like disclosing my anxiety and mental health issues though. Should I?
