Every Sunday evening I just dread that I have to go back to work. I wonder if a lot of people feel this way?

I’ve been waiting months to transfer. Who knows when or if the transfer will happen.

The place just makes me anxious and wears me out mentally and emotionally.

I dread work, and then when I get here, I usually find there was good reason for my apprehension.

I work with a few very low functioning/high control types. It can be exhausting. I'm interested in developing new tools for dealing with the current situation, as I don't feel like hitting the bricks and getting a new job now, but I might be fooling myself.

I’m with you on developing new tools for dealing with the nonsense. I know that wherever I go I will run into some of the same stuff... and of course I bring my own nonsense into the mix because I’m not perfect either.... so working on my own coping tools and working style is a idea... every morning I give myself a pep talk and after about five minutes of being there my irritation sets in....

Of COURSE Sunday afternoon/evening is hard. Think about it. Monday through Friday, or MORE, if you are one of the unlucky, which I am about to be, you are on someone else's schedule, rules, having to deal with others that you really don't want to, etc. Your life is on hold until your days off. it sucks. We are about to go into "fresh" season at our turkey plant, and we will be working 7 days a week and probably 9 hours a day or more. This will last until the week of Thanksgiving. My ONLY defense is "think of the money" repeated like a mantra in my head over and over. Otherwise, I will start screaming at the ceiling, and tearing out my hair.
