Ugh. I am usually very organized and very careful what I say at work. I’m tired lately though. I am having a hard time keeping up with the added workload. The pressure has been high for months. I wasn’t well prepared for a meeting today and then I blurted out the wrong thing at the wrong time... I felt like a complete idiot after that... as everybody went silent. I hope this doesn’t ruin my opportunity for my transfer. I am usually very good about keeping up with my work, I turn in reports on time and I present my reports well enough... I usually do very well in meetings. I feel burned out and fed up... and now I feel really anxious about my poor judgment today. I can’t stop replaying today’s events and feeling worried.

Thank you. They do know my workload is high and say they are working on it. ![]() |

We all say the wrong thing at the wrong time sometimes. And lord knows that when I am tired I am known to have worse judgement and foggy brain. Don't beat yourself up if you can help it, Sisabel. Maybe you can say something to your supervisor like "Oh man, I was so tired and overwhelmed, and said the wrong thing at the wrong time in that meeting!" If you don't have a way to express your concerns at work, or aren't able to say anything, I just hope you know you're not stupid. It happens to the best of us.
