Managers acting odd?

Today my supervisor kept walking up to me and then leaving right away. Then the store manager did the same thing 3-4 times. I felt like they were checking up on me. I can’t think of what else they would be doing. They were really just walking up and walking out quickly. It was frustrating. Work has been kind of weird lately. No one really seems to know what’s going on. Schedule wise. They are acting weird in general.

Maybe they shouldn’t schedule me a week straight and give me more work then anyone else in the department if they are so concerned about how I am performing? I wish they would tell me if there was a problem. But just hanging around and lurking behind me just makes me nervous and I feel like I really am doing something wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions or comments?

It is possible that you are under review but don't let that get in the way of doing your job. If you're unsure of something make sure you ask, like "what should I focus on" or "where you are needed most", if you don't already know. This way, they have given you a direction and you can satisfy that direction. You're not a mind reader.

yes, that is possible. I think I've been in your position before. If the high volume of hours is not effecting your health, keep workin 'em. They may schedule the highest performers regardless of your needs. So, make sure you put yourself first. Is it possible to help out a co-worker or two when you get the chance. By demonstrating good leadership, the work load is less on your shoulders.

I think in such a case it would be appropriate to ask them if everything is ok. Saying something along the line of "I noticed you've stopped by me a couple of times, is this something that I need to concern myself about?"

Perhaps you coul try to ask them, Mountaindewed? Just ask them if there's something wrong with what you're doing. How do you think they would react? Either way, keep doing your best, like you're doing now. Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

I agree that you might feel better if you just ask. People, in general, just aren’t always the best communicators. Even managers... Perhaps if you ask if everything is ok you will open up the communication better? I’m guessing they have no idea how nervous they’re making you.

I did ask my supervisor today. I just mentioned that the manager had been in the back the other day and had kept coming up to me and leaving right away. He said that he was probably just seeing what was back there. He said that if I was doing something wrong that I would be told. He mentioned that the manger is weird.

I understand how you feel! I had a district manager do that to me. In my case !y manager want to fire me because I was being discriminated against even though I had shock the district manager by how well I could my job even though I have a disability. It possible that you might be reading to much. It possible is nothing.

They might be reviewing you for a positive reason, given what you say about your work.
