I made an error on facebook.

I had accidentally invited people to like a page I did not mean to.

I sent out an all caps not to like the page

All the people in the scene got on me and started talking S*** about me. I tried to apologize and took my post down, but i think the damage has been done.

I feel sick to my stomach. I lost all credibility that I had. No one is going to listen to my shows anymore. Definitely having a break. Feel scared and fearful for my career. They all made fun of the genres I play. Made fun of me.

I tired to apologize, but I think the damage has been done.

What can I do?

I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. Are you sure it's something that can't be undone? People make mistakes and they should accept your apology. I'm sure whatever damage you think was done can be repaired.

I apologized profusely and I do not know if it was taken in full. I have to see though how it plays out in time.

Thank you for your response.

I'm so sorry, NeedHaldol Please don't be so hard on yourself. Anyone can make mistakes. And yours wasn't so bad anyway. It can be repaired. Also I think it was pretty mean of them to make fun of you that way. I hope you'll feel better soon. Please don't give up. I don't think your career is over. Remember that we're here for you if you need it. Feel free to vent here as much as you want. We'll listen to what you have to say and won't judge you. I'm here for you as well if you need it. Feel free to PM me anytime. Let me know if I can do something to help you. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

So after my set/during i got praise for my set.

That makes me feel good because obviously I am not dead to the world.

That experience really shook me though and also realigned the way I look at what I do, I realize that I cannot compare myself to others which is had to do, but I am going to try and be more mindful of this.

I'm happy for you, NeedHaldol! Yes, comparing ouselves to others is not always good. I'm glad you've realized that. But at least you know better now. Hopefully next time you'll feel better about it. Sending many hugs to you
