When I'm at work, I'm a different person. Or at least I pretend to be. I go home and work and everyone there completely leaves my mind. It almost sounds like disassociation but I remember everything that happened there. It's more of an on/off switch. I'm either in home. mode or work mode.
Does anyone else have this happen? Part of me likes 'work me' more than 'home me' but 'work me' is exhausting. I wish I could find a balance where I could be myself at work but the real me isn't all that employable. |

I also do this. I think this is normal since we are in two different environment. "Work" me is diligent and fast, but so unhappy. "Home" me is lazy but happier and more sociable. I believe that both sides have their benefits and cons. It's ok to have two different you.

I’m more relaxed and happier when I am at home. There’s so much pressure at work and I also don’t feel comfortable sharing too much with coworkers.

I think all of us has work me and home me. At work im expected to be productive and efficient, friendly with customers and generally approachable while on the sales floor. at home i can be lazy, get what needs to be done on whatever time frame suits my needs, communicate or not. Im an introvert primarily so work can be exhausting. But i need to earn that money, so performance is needed.
