Hello,
I realise today that wages have been wrong for about a year.
I'm feeling guilty and bad about myself because as an adult I should be on top of these things.
I find payslips so confusing.

Doesn't help that I'm working two different jobs with strange hours e.g. shifts that may be 3 hour 15 mins, 2 hours 30

I feel so stupid

Life is so hectic nowadays, it's almost impossible to keep it all under control. So, while I can understand how you feel, I hope you can find it within you to not beat yourself up too badly. You wrote that you're feeling guilty & bad about yourself because, as an adult, you should be on top of these things. But, at least from my perspective, perhaps the more adult thing to do is simply take this experience in stride, consider it a learning opportunity, & see what (if anything) you can do to correct the error. Here are links to 3 articles, from PC's archives, that (hopefully) may be of some interest:

Thanks for this!

I agree that there are an awful lot of things to keep up with these days and sometimes things just go unnoticed. I understand how you feel though because I feel pretty frustrated when I find that I’ve missed something really important. It’s definitely frustrating but don’t be too hard on yourself. I hope you are able to fix the issue with your wages.

I once was handed a check around the holidays for nearly double my usual; when I asked why, payroll was called and it turned out I had been due a raise months ago that wasn't given---and I never noticed. Don't feel stupid. You weren't "on top of" something that you generally shouldn't have to worry about. It might help to have someone review the payslip with you so that you can have a more comfortable "relationship" with that piece of paper which can be confusing to many....you are not alone.
