I'm thinking for a while now about getting licensed as a mortgage loan processor. I'd have to take a class, and an exam.

It's commission based but i know tons of realtors. I think it would use my degree and be a possibly good fit for me. I'm very professional over the phone have a good phone voice.

Debating about taking the leap.

Aviza, that sounds like an interesting field.

What I know about real estate is that it is a boom or bust situation. Either writing lots of mortgages or standards are tightening so people are not doing as many mortgages.

From what I am reading, that right now banks are tightening up on credit quality because so many million workers are out of work. I would consider that and also talk to some mortgage broker firms for an informational call about how many mortgage loan processors they might be hiring in next 12 months. That might tell you something about the prospects of that position.

Any commission only remuneration is competing against top of the field competitors. It is a situation where the best do great. Not sure how the rest do.

Strangely I may be following yet a different path. I asked God how I could serve, interviewed today for a financial advisor position.

I had interviewed for this type of position years ago but rejected the offer. Now I'm thinking I should if i pass the 4 interviews and get an offer take the job. We'll see a lot of life has been lived between now and than. But I fight for mortgage financial advising flows into my lap. Even the test is easier. I hope my disability doesn't hold me back. I'll know in a few weeks.

Do you need training for it?

Yes lots of training. Licensing, testing, etc. Years ago i passed the preliminary tests with ease. It came naturally. Maybe it's my niche I've been looking for.
