Dunkin's pays mad money now and gets some tips. I did kinda work there years ago, but within my first week I got violently ill and tried calling out, but the manager said if I didn't come in I shouldn't ever come back in so I went in and puked on the floor as soon as I got in. Boss said I was stupid for coming in and she didn't want me coming back if I had such poor judgment skills. But they have a new manager and the pay is double what it was which is a hell of a lot around here for p/t no experience or papers saying I've paid thousands to read a couple books. The work wasn't all that bad either until you smell hot coffee trying not to toss your cookies.

Yes you can apply. When you apply to a place you were fired from, you’ll have to answer a question on the application if you were ever fired from there and why. Then you explain why.

I’d say if it’s Dunkin Donuts, you could apply to a different one. Not the same you were fired from

I know I CAN. I'm asking if I SHOULD.

I think I'm going to put in an application, but if something else comes up first I'm definitely taking that because "don't come in, you're fired; come in, you're fired" didn't taste good.

Personally I’d try a different location since you had bad experience there.

I don’t know about your area but here in the Midwest we have shortage everywhere. So retail and food places hire everyone and anyone as long as you are alive and breathing.

IMO you've got nothing to lose ny applying. I would do it.
Just curious what the pay is?

Shortages here too. Not for lack of people looking for employment though--lack of people willing to work as the sole associate at places like dollar stores and being one person running 2-4 departments at Walmart or being the only cashier up front for ~$10/hr or less. I don't know exactly what restaurants/fast food places are paying (and tips as servers is very seasonal as pretty much the only business is from tourists), but DD claims pay is up to $15/hr and last person I knew that started there with no experience started at $12.50. When I worked there it was $7.25.

Starbucks pays $16/hr+tips (DD has tips too) and I've applied, but I'm tentative at really pursuing it because the drive sucks. It's only about half an hour one way, but it's either interstate that gets really backed up at times (it is verrrry slow going SB today) or backroads that are not kind to your alignment.

But regardless, applications are being sent in.

During pandemics pay significantly increased everywhere in food places and retail. There was no one to work. People were either scared of covid or were happy with extra unemployment. It’s not as bad now. People returned to work on the most part. But these jobs are very transient. So there’s always an opening somewhere. I am sure you’ll get a job! Good luck

Most Duncan Donuts are franchised, so there's a good chance that if you apply at a different one, the ownership would be different. I guess not always, since some own more than one store. Good luck!
