Eww, why such a long vacation?!?! I like to pretend I am not attached at all to my T, but I wouldn't do so well with such a long vacation. I suppose I should be glad she can't afford to take longer than a week vacation? I am not, but also..I am...

How come? My kitties help just a tiny bit, even if I am feeling my worst.

Both of my cats LOVE tummy rubs! Seriously, I could rub their bellies all day Which is good, because I do it often

No, mother. RoboT abandoned me like everyone else and I haven't seen him in a month.

I hope you don't. What happened with RoboT? I must have missed it.

It turned out that I had actually been referred to that pdoc about 20 years ago and couldn't stand her. My therapist said that people who saw her loved that she would smoke with them. I said that sounded manipulative. My therapist disagreed.

Does anyone else think it's manipulative? Like, trying to make people think they're just hanging out, meanwhile the pdoc is being controlling and plotsy?
I don't necessarily think smoking with a client is manipulative, but this was also 20 years ago, when smoking was more condoned? Or at least not as widely known as "OMG YOU ARE SMOKING. YOU WILL GET CANCER!" that is seen as today. I mean you may have not liked this person, and see no reason to go back, which is totally fine...but just because they smoked with clients 20 years ago? I don't know.

He really blew me away with all of that. He said I know you keep saying you want to "end things the right way" but he said I don't think there is a right way. I said well I don't want to leave on bad terms. He said why? She doesn't care. You're just a client, a paycheck, she'll move along to another one. I said I don't know. That's just who I am - I care.
.
Aw, that is great that H is being so supportive! I think I missed when things turned *wrong* with T? I know the past few sessions have been difficult, but when did you notice things awry?

I love this time of year in the desert.
LOL. Tonight was the first real rain in AGES here. So great. I also love a good thunderstorm, they just don't happen often.
