H and I have been trying to have kids for 7 years with no luck, so I'm undergoing fertility treatments. Antidepressants can increase miscarriage rates. I've already miscarried once naturally, so I'm not inclined to do something that makes it more likely again.

ETA: such pretty kitties!!

she's pretty cute. i like to kiss it often, which she isn't a huge fan of, but i don't care! she also doesn't really like to be held, but i pick her up at least once a day and smoosh her to me anyway. deal with the cuddles!

they both are very cuddly though, as in they like to lie on/next to me. turns out middle of summer with two cats is a whole 'nother level of hotness.
Thanks for this!

I am so jealous of your swimming ability. The fact that you can actually swim. I know the basics of swimming, but couldn't do a full lap to save my life. And that you have a pool you can go to. I belong to a gym that has a pool, but I don't want to swim awkwardly in lap lanes with all the people who know how to, and i work for the company so i generally avoid it in my non-working hours even though it isn't hte facility i work at.
I think of you often when I take my lunch break. I walk around the swimming pool and go "Man I wish I could swim like Art."

One good thing my mother did when me and my siblings were young - she made us all take swimming lessons. It was a rough start for me, I was afraid to put my head in the water, but because of one very patient swimming instructor who gave me a lot of one-on-one time, I got over my fear one summer and went on to become a Red Cross WSI (Water Safety Instructor) trained to teach beginning swimming all the way up to Sr. Lifesaving. (I know the names have all changed now, but that's what they were when I was a WSI many years ago.) I never lost my love for swimming nor my natural talent for it, well natural talent that began to emerge after I got over my fear of putting my face in the water. It's the one place I completely know who I am and what I am doing and can love my body - in the pool.

eta that's weird that one of my replies ended up in the original text box. i am now officially talented at jacking posts too.
Thanks for this!

A lot of things. Family stuff, work stuff, no one to talk to about it. H tries to be supportive, but he's hit and miss. T has been on vacation since the end of June. Ugh.

Ani likes to give me cat kisses, where we touch noses. And yeah, she gets scooped up and snugged sometimes whether she likes it or not, hehe.

Here she is in the sun earlier this week (back when we had some sun, seems like a distant memory):

I'd post cat pictures, but I'm in bed crippled by anxiety. They're not allowed in the bedroom.

I love cats. I keep looking at the rspca but none really appeal. Secretly I think I am rejecting them because I lost the most awesome cat I ever had 15 years ago and I can't let go of her.

Love you, dinosaur ocarina!

BCM, yes she is! Sorry to hear about your beloved late cat... I lost my favourite boy three years ago and no other cat could ever be quite as wonderful as him.

I like pudding and custards but I am not a huge pie fan. I don't like crust.
But I would choose good melon over any other dessert I can think of.

I would be inclined to think the picture posting thing was generational = but Art and I are only about a year apart. So I will act like a therapist and blame my parents for not being much into taking pictures at all and when they did, they usually had my dad's thumb in them.

I would not survive without fruit. I like vegetables too -but mostly cooked so it is a bit more of a thing to have to do. Fruit you just grab and go. I don't like it messed up with anything - just the fruit itself. I am a fruit purist.

I just looked up the symptoms of scurvy, I have the scurvy tongue, which prev docs have said it fungal and the bleeding gums which dentists have said is bad hygiene. I have always had sore arms and legs but that was always put down to my disability, maybe all these years I have had low level scurvy. I have always had lethargy too.

My cat has started cuddling next to me looking for me to rub her tummy. So cute but most cats hate belly rubs.

So my stepmom called and I was trying to keep it light. So like, 4 minutes into the call she was like, "you don't sound okay. What's going on?"

And I lost it.

Plus she had to rub salt in the wound. "Didn't you have a session with RoboT today? What did he say?"

No, mother. RoboT abandoned me like everyone else and I haven't seen him in a month.

Possible trigger:

Mine like belly rubs right up until they don't - they let you know by biting without warning. I always stop belly rubbing the cats after just a couple of rubs.

I believe the next logical therapy step would be to process one's feelings around camera-trauma.
