On the 22nd, I got my 90 day chip. I usually post on the day I get my chip, but it's been storming, so my computer's been unplugged. I feel like a new woman lately. The day before my 90 days, I measured my hair to see if I had enough to donate, and sure enough I did. So I put it in a ponytail and cut off the last 2 years of my life. At least that's how it felt. It came out in the perfect ittle bob and everyone says it looks great! I've cut my own hair before, but in drunken rages. This time I did it for me, and I'm loving it. I also went to the eye doctor and got glasses, which makes reading and computer work much easier! I bought the new Harry Potter book as a 90 day present and just started it today. Trying to read it slow though, so it lasts longer, lol. I'm on my 8th step, trudging forward in the program at full speed, the program that has indeed saved my life. I am almost completely caught up on current finances, something that has never happened, and will soon be able to start paying on old debts, so that I won't fear the phone and the mailbox. Life is improving with every day, every step and every breathe I take. I thank my higher power with all my heart, and this amazing program that has lifted me out of the depths of dispair and set me gently into the life I never thought I'd have, which I can say with all honesty that I am coming to love. The rooms I visit daily are a haven, the safest warmest rooms on earth. I wish I could have the pleasure of shaking Bill's hand, and though not possible, I feel I connect with him whenever I reach out to another alcoholic. Thank you all for being a part of the best 92 days of my life.

Like they said…
A big Congrats from me as well. Whenever I am asked to offer chips at the end of a meeting, as I hold up the 90 day chip, I tell the room that it was and it is my favorite chip. Of all the chips I ever gotten, that one was the most important to my sobriety. That white chip is important, but I didn’t need to do anything but show up to get it. But the 90 day chip, that’s a different story. That took 90 days and a thousand nights. Way to go, On the road to the good stuff, Richard |

Thank you Richard. I keep the green and silver chip always. The chip that got me here, and the most recent one. The two most important. To this day I am amazed at the life I led, but didn't lead. My life is just starting!
