Well, besides the fact that weed is relaxing, I also can get this crazy focus and be very rhythmic for dance, or full of energy enough to focus. I think this is a main leftover truth of smoking weed and doing coke simultaneously. I don't have the need to do that anymore. Maybe a bit more weed to relax, or instead a couple beers. But usually, I'll just end up getting more mentally drained more than anything else. That's why I have to do it on my time off rare and sparely.

i am unclear what kind of feedback you want. not trying to come off as rude, but i didnt want to ignore your post either. are you venting, wanting help with an addiction, or use it as medicinal since i see you live in california?
Thanks for this!

You feel more energized? I make it a point that if I'm going to go out I can't smoke because, if I do, I will not leave the couch haha

I do like it to relax but, seeing as I don't get a day off ever, I never really can do it. I can always find something to work on and feel guilty taking a night for myself. And also when my bf is out of town for work or whatever I usually need to smoke to fall asleep bc I can't fall asleep in our big bed without him there.
Thanks for this!

your thread is in the addiction forum so i'm unclear if you think you're addicted. i could be mistaken but i thought this forum is about needing help with addictions rather than using for other reasons. not trying to bust you cause you may be concerned about doing drugs. could you clarify re this?

From pc forum title:
"Addictions A place for people who grapple with addictions, including substance abuse or alcoholism."

Hey, know what you're talking about but weed can really demotivate you. That's why I quit. Of course my dumb @$$ does other things now BUT ANYWHO glad you're done with using the coke so much. Knew a lot of people that did that and it can make you kinda crazy after a while.

Sorry about the unclear part. Yes, I do see it as an addiction, and no not everyone in CA smokes weed. I can become lethargic, which is why I don't like to smoke, but I think more than anything it's a psychological addiction because nothing relaxes me the same way, not alcohol, and definitely not my meds. It's frustrating because sometimes I want to quit, and other times I don't see it as a problem. I guess I was just used to Craigslist, where no matter what you post, people tend to give you any and all feedback. lol. Thanks!

ps. I haven't done coke in over 2 years now .. never again either.
Thanks for this!

Congrats on 2 years without coke. That's great!

Pot just makes me eat cookies and then go to bed. I preferred coke and scotch. I'm an addict. I can't handle drugs or alcohol. Be careful with the pot and beer--it can get out of control real fast--without you realizing it.
